| TARTUFFE |
Thursday 9th July, 7.30pm start
|
| By Miracle Theatre |
| Tartuffe – He only wants what’s best from you!
Cornwall’s Miracle Theatre celebrate their 30th anniversary with a new open-air adaptation of Tartuffe, Molière’s sharpest comedy. This masterclass in hypocrisy, as fresh and provoking as when it was banned in 1664, is perfectly suited to Miracle’s high energy outdoor performance style.
When a wealthy man starts treating a homeless vagrant as his spiritual guru and lifestyle guide, it triggers alarm bells amongst his offspring, driving them to take drastic action to protect their inheritance. But will the devious Tartuffe be one step ahead of them?
Miracle Theatre apply their love of satire, farce and physical theatre to this timeless classic, laying bare aspects of human nature uncomfortably familiar to us all.
Box office: Pencarrow 01208 841369, Bodmin TIC 01208 76616 or Hall for Cornwall 01872 262466
