Pencarrow House and gardens

Peacock Cafe

The Peacock Cafe, one of the original 17th century cottages, seats 60 people inside and outside there is a pleasant sheltered lawn with tables, chairs and sunshades. Close by is the children's play area, with chickens, peacocks and guinea fowl roaming freely.

The largest room has an attractive vaulted brick ceiling and was probably originally the wash-house. The smaller room contains a most attractive painting by Lady Molesworth, depicting an afternoon tea party and croquet game in Victorian times.

On offer are home-made soups, traditional pasties, cakes and cream teas.

All lunches and teas are freshly prepared to order and we use Cornish fare wherever possible. Items on the menu may vary depending on season and supply.
