Mother’s Day afternoon tea

Mother’s Day just happens to fall on our opening day so we thought we’d give all you mothers out there a treat! And as mothers are so special, not just for one day, we are extending this delicious menu right through till Thursday 4th April

We are offering a traditional afternoon tea in our Peacock Cafe for two for just £19.95 (from 2.30pm – 4.30pm)

This will include a selection of sandwiches to include cucumber, dill & cream cheese, coronation chicken, ham & wholegrain mustard & smoked salmon, plus a selection of mini scones & homemade cakes such as chocolate & hazelnut torte, fruit tart, macaroons & victoria sponge (gluten free, vegan/vegetarian options available on request)

As well as afternoon tea on the menu, we also have a delicious Mother’s Day lunch menu special – spring lamb & vegetable casserole, served with cheesy dumplings (swap the dumplings for garlic & rosemary wedges for a dairy & gluten free option) = £8.50

(V) Allotment burger with a flat mushroom & roasted peppers on a bed of rocket topped with tomato salsa & metled chedder, served with garlic & rosemary wedges

Desserts will include Queen of puddings – dark chocolate & raspberry torte, fresh strawberry fruit salad with a sweet mint dressing, both served with Cornish clotted cream or ice cream = £3.50

House, cafe & shop open for the season

Our beautiful house will re-open today for guided tours. Sundays to Thursdays, first tour is 11.15 and then every 45 minutes

(last tour is 3.00pm)

National Garden Scheme

8th April 2019

The National Garden Scheme is the most significant charitable funder of nursing charities in the country, donating £55 million so far. Your entry fee to the gardens will be donated to the NGS on this open day.

Beneficiary charities are: The Queen’s Nursing Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Carers Trust, Hospice UK, Perennial, Parkinson’s UK and other guest charities.

Normal garden entry fee applies

Bluebell & Wild Garlic Sunday

5th May 2019

Come along and witness the splendour of our bluebells and wild garlic.

The Friends of Pencarrow will be here with delicious wild garlic recipes and samples to taste!

Of course, our bluebells and garlic will still be on display throughout May.

Wuthering Heights

7th July 2019

Chapterhouse theatre will be here again with their open air production of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights.

Come and join us in our Italian garden for an evening of pure entertainment. Bring a picnic, seating and a blanket!

Mega Book Sale

Our annual mega book sale will be here again in the Peacock Cafe. Come along and grab yourself a best seller, cookery book, biography or even a car manual!! We have it all here in our book sale. Oh and why not treat yourself to a coffee and a cake at the same time! What could be a better combination… coffee, cake and books!!

Christmas Fair

16th & 17th November 2019

This will be our 19th christmas fair and is still one of the best christmas fairs in Cornwall!

Come along and find that perfect gift and see the house all decorated and ready for christmas.

Visit our food marquee filled with stalls selling delicious food and don’t forget to treat yourself to a delicious lunch in the Peacock Cafe
